Urban & Provincial gained planning consent in 2013 for a mixed-use scheme comprising; two brand new school facilities: a permanent home for Southwark Free School; and a sixth form facility for the City of London Academy (Southwark) who will relocate much of their sixth form teaching facilities to Rotherhithe New Road. It is estimated that the proposed scheme will create in excess of 60 jobs, including many opportunities for local people.

The proposal will also create 158 new homes. These are primarily two and three bedroom properties and therefore provide opportunities to deliver against the London Borough of Southwark and the London Plan targets to create more family homes. The scheme won planning consent from the Mayor of London in December 2013; and has been recognised by our peers through Commendations for Best Mixed Use and Master planning at the New London Awards 2013 and Placemaking Awards 2014.
