Trundley’s Road Takes Step Forward

Plans for the mixed-use redevelopment of the Apollo Business Centre on Trundley’s Road took a step forward after the latest meeting of Lewisham Council’s Strategic Planning Committee unanimously resolved to grant approval for the proposal.

The approved proposal is for:

  • A part 10 and part 26 storey building,
  • 1,786 sqm of new light industrial floorspace,
  • 484 student bedrooms and associated amenity space,
  • 42 affordable housing units,
  • 100 sqm retail / community floorspace.

The Council’s draft Local Plan has earmarked this area of Lewisham for growth and regeneration, with several proposals for neighbouring sites already consented to.

The Urban & Provincial team is excited to see progression at Trundley’s Road. In addition to the new residences and exciting amenities that will come, this development, and others, will also pave the way for the creation of the New Bermondsey train station, which, in the coming years, will further enhance the local transport links.
